As COVID-19 precautions continue to evolve, PCSSD maintains its dedication to following guidelines as recommended by the CDC and Arkansas Department of Health. Therefore, beginning Monday, March 7, all schools will resume normal visitor policy procedures.

ACT Aspire is around the corner! Seniors from Maumelle High are working with students at Maumelle Middle to help close the achievement gap in Math and English Language Arts. These Hornets are living out our value of community service by sharing their knowledge with our next generation of Maumelle Hornets.

The students who participated in the Reading Challenge in December were rewarded with a great field trip to Dave & Buster's on March 1. Administrators, teachers and students had a wonderful time. We are so proud of the hard work the students put in to win the challenge! Go Stingers!





Maumelle Middle School will host a special informational meeting with our wonderful principal, Mr. Echols, on Monday, March 7, from 5:00-6:00 in the cafeteria. Mr. Echols will be available to answer parent questions and to discuss upcoming events and activities happening at our school. Thank you!

This evening (Mon., Feb. 28) the Pulaski County Sheriff Office contacted PCSSD security to inform them that the search for the suspect earlier today has concluded. Authorities believe the suspect is no longer in the area. School will operate as normal tomorrow (Tues., March 1).

Students who are eligible to attend the bowling field trip on Friday, March 4, received their permission slips today. Please make sure they return these as soon as possible. This is a reward for certain areas of improvement on MAPS Test scores from January. Thank you!

The Dave & Buster's field trip will take place on Tuesday, March 1. Girls' and Boys' Track Tryouts are on Tuesday, March 1, after school. The cheer tryout clinic will also start on Tuesday, March 1, after school. Thank you!

Security protocols continue to remain in place at Pine Forest Elementary, Maumelle Middle and Maumelle High. Dismissal will occur at regular times. There will be additional PCSSD security on each campus as well as Maumelle Police Dept. to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Pine Forest Elementary, Maumelle Middle and Maumelle High are on lockdown at the recommendation of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office. There is believed to be a threat in the area. No one is allowed into or out of the building at this time. We will update you as we know more.

TRIO – EOC is a community service of the U.S. Department of Education designed to support area students' interest in attending a college/university or vocational/technical program.
We focus on serving individuals from low-income backgrounds who would be first-generation college graduates. All services are FREE and include Admission Application Assistance, Admission Exam Assistance, ACCUPLACER Admission and Placement Exam Testing, FAFSA Assistance, Scholarship Assistance, and Online Tutoring Assistance.

PCSSD will have a 2 hour delay start on Friday, February 25. Since school will begin 2 hours later than the normal start time, all bus pick up times will be exactly 2 hours later than normal. Our start time at Maumelle Middle will be at 10:30 on February 25. Dismissal times remain the same for tomorrow. Breakfast will not be served, only lunch. Students who were to attend the field trip to Dave and Busters will now go on Monday, February 28.
