Our community service learning team got to assist Daisy Bates on their annual field day and then they were able to help clean at Boyle Park. They have been hard working and dedicated to the goals we have set, and we are proud of their efforts!

School may be out – but school meals are still in! Children in the PCSSD community won't go hungry this summer and will have the opportunity to eat for free, thanks to PCSSD and its foodservice partner, Chartwells K12. This summer, we will be preparing meal packs for breakfast & lunch for anyone 18 years or younger in the community. The PCCSD summer meal program does not require registration or identification, and children do not have to attend PCSSD schools to receive the meals. Just show up at the pickup sites on distribution days from 7:00-10:00 a.m., and the meals will be loaded into your vehicle. For more details, see the attached image. #ServeAll #PCSSDproud

Recently our Mills University Studies High School JROTC flag team presented Security Officer Johnson with her father's United States flag folded and cased. She was very appreciative to the cadets for their continued service, and they were honored to serve in this way.

Recently Ms. Foote celebrated her AP Literature and AP Language students as they prepared to take their AP exams. She provided them with breakfast, juice, and matching t-shirts that stated "I can do hard things!" And taking an AP exam is definitely a hard thing! But they did it, and we are so proud of them and their teacher for all their dedication, their work ethic, and their willingness to challenge themselves.

We are super excited to announce our 2026 teacher and employee of the year at Mills University Studies High School!
Ms. Angel Pike is our employee of the year. Ms. Pike is our school bookkeeper and she takes care of so many things. She helps us get paid, helps us get materials and supplies, and helps us manage the office and all it entails. She always works with a smiling face and a servant's heart. She does so many things behind the scenes too helping us take care of the students and staff of our school. We simply could not function without Ms. Pike!
Ms. Shynice Galloway is our teacher of the year. Ms. Galloway is in her third year of teaching, and she just completed the Arkansas Professional Educator Pathway (ArPEP) program which allows a bachelor's degree candidate to be licensed and employed as a classroom teacher while completing the necessary requirements for a Standard Arkansas Teaching License. She has shown tremendous growth both in herself and in her students in her two years of teaching. Their ATLAS scores improved immensely this year, and her hard work is paying off!
Again, we are so fortunate to have people like Ms. Pike and Ms. Galloway at MUSHS. Their love for students and love for their work shines through every day, and we thank them for it! Congratulations again on these honors!
